Welcome to my website and thanks for visiting.
I am a barrister, author, broadcaster and human rights campaigner. I have been a lawyer for over twenty years.
I am presently a barrister at St Ives Chambers where I specialise in family, civil and commercial litigation. In October 2015 I published a book for litigants in person to guide them through the Family Court.
Before transferring to the bar, I was a solicitor in private practice. I have also lectured UK and international lawyers about the law, advocacy, negotiation skills and litigation.
I set up a pro bono legal advice centre which provided free legal advice, research and assistance to clients. In 2006 I was awarded the Law Society’s YSG In House Pro Bono Lawyer of the year and in 2012 I received an MBE for my services to pro bono law.
I have given after dinner speeches at the International Convention Conference in Birmingham and I regularly provide legal analysis and commentary on radio. I write articles for newspapers, magazines and have interviewed many public figures.
In 2016 I was short-listed for Barrister of the Year in the Birmingham Law Society Awards.
Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. When not striving to keep his patients happy and healthy, he’s enjoys hiking with his family in Rock Creek Park.
